J-Base: Grades 1-3

Last year I taught a course on Jewish Basics for children in Grades 1 through 3 over Zoom. The purpose of this course was to encourage non-member families who attended High Holiday services to join the congregation. I am proud to say that two students did so. My goal was to allow online learners to get to know each other, as well as the joys and traditions of Judaism. Students were actively engaged for the duration of each class, and soon deep friendships started to form between participants who had never met in person.
